Jedediah canceled training for the following morning because he had to be up at the crack of dawn for his mother’s trial. Bart initially wanted to skip it, but Elder James informed him that his appearance was mandatory. When Bart asked why, he was told it was due to her treason charges against him, which were not only for being her mate but also for being her Alpha. Her issues related to conspiring to poison Seth and his mates were just the icing on the cake.
