Chapter 8
“Inspector, you have your wires crossed! How dare you arrest us for aiding and abetting!?” Deacon snarled as he was chained to the table at the Mountain Ash Pack, where he and Apollo were being interrogated.
“Oh, is that so? Then tell Alpha Brown, why did I find you with your father after you told us you had no idea where he was,” Inspector Parades questioned.
“Because we found him after I kicked you out of my territory. Your sudden investigation into the matter of my father and what he did to my mother was too sudden and too random.”
“Do you expect me to believe that?” Inspector Parades mocked.
“What you decide to believe is up to you. But I’m telling you the truth!” Deacon stated firmly.
“As I said before, Alpha Brown—Like father, like son.” Parad
