I couldn’t believe that I was doing this, that this was actually happening. I felt like I was in some kind of dream, like I had been removed from reality and taken to some place that wasn’t real. Because there was no way that this was actually happening, was it? It couldn’t be happening. No way in hell would I have been kidding Dae in the middle of the day when there was absolutely anyone who could come into these chambers and find us doing so.
This was the riskiest thing that I could have done in this situation, and yet, here I was. And I wasn’t stopping. That was the worst part of all of this. Even though I had realised that I wasn’t supposed to be doing any of this, it was doing little to nothing to stop me. And besides, I didn’t want to stop, either.
