It had taken every ounce of self-control that I had possessed to keep myself from devouring Anoa right there on the spot. If someone were to question me on where I had found the strength to push her away, I wouldn’t have been able to answer them, because I didn’t even know where it had come from. Truth be told, I regretted the fact that I had stopped her, but even so, I had known that it was something that I needed to do, whether I had been wanting to or not. We were now on our way out to the gardens. It was a suggestion that Anoa had made, and even though I didn’t see the point in going there, I couldn’t deny that the fresh air might help me clear my mind. There was so much going on in there, so many images of Anoa flickering about that it wasn’t helping with the way that I was feeling
