Once we were in the drawing room—the one that I usually occupied during the daytime when I didn’t know what to do with myself while Dae was in his office—I sat down on the daybed beneath the far window. I had wasted no time in doing so, and by the looks of it, Dae had been quite caught off guard by what I was doing.
