We had been laying here in silence for a while now, and I got the impression that Dae was busy thinking about everything that had happened between the two of us since I had gotten here. I found that I was doing the same, although I wasn’t entirely sure that our thoughts were following the exact same path.
I, for one, didn’t have the desire to go completely silent and to shut down. It seemed to me like that was exactly what Dae was doing, and I didn’t know whether or not I should have been willing or wanting to get him out of the rut that he was going into. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to say something to deter his thoughts either, because at this point, the only thing that I was sure of, was the fact that I didn’t want him to leave.
