After three months of maternity leave, I was back at work. It feels both amazing and terrifying at the same time. Amazing because I love my work and it is nice to return to my duty. And terrifying because I have to leave a three-month-old baby at home with a nanny.
In this past month, Ashwini has been an amazing support to me and Oviya. So, it doesn't scare me as much as it could have.
But still, juggling the responsibility of a job and a brand-new baby could be impossible for any mother.
I feel much better and more relaxed when my duty is over by one in the afternoon. I arrive home ready for a shower, lunch, and then a nap if my daughter allows me but tension creeps into me when I spot Aadhi's car outside the house.
