I roll my eyes when my phone rings with Aadhi's name on the screen. I am clearly not in the mood to talk to him right now. Our argument had left Oviya sobbing for a long time. It had definitely affected her more than I could imagine. For a long time, she had trouble sleeping but finally succumbed to her exhaustion. It was clear that she missed being put to sleep by her father as he was the one always to do so every night.
It bothers me that I am intentionally or unintentionally keeping them away from each other but at the same time, I cannot live my life with a man who might never love me at all just for the sake of my daughter's happiness.
