Bass howls in pain jumping out from the bed, clutching the back of his head in anguish. “M-Maggie- what… what?”
A plethora of emotions flash through his features. Confusion, dread, hurt and betrayal. He lets out a roar that shakes the entire Tree. I had to cover my ears. Bloodshot eyes turn to me with outright distress. The misery of the situation dawning onto him. He was still trying to grasp what had happened and how… how his wife- the girl he’s loved for all her life- could do such a thing to him. He didn’t want to believe it. I can see it in the haunted expression on his face.
