“What a pleasant surprise!” My grandpa beamed during dinner that same night.
I was still shaken to my core about what I found in my room but I forced a smile and hugged my grandpa. “It’s good to be home.”
“I was starting to worry too. You didn’t call me as often as you usually would. Now I know why! You’ve been planning this all along.” He says happily, placing a hand on my shoulder.
Agatha came and wrapped me in a long hug. “Oh, how I wish you would have said something to me. That way, I could have cooked you your favorite.”
