Rayden left me and Ares alone again, but only after a stern warning that he would not cover for us if anyone found out the truth through our own carelessness. I think that was his way of warning us not to go back to bed. After he left I started to feel the spirited and defensive attitude I had been able to summon fade away, and it left me with no positive emotions to focus on. Ares was frustratingly calm about this.
