Ares Apologizes

I drew my hair over my shoulder and wound it around my fingers as I considered Ares' request. It was a simple one, and it was not unusual at all. I had just not been asked to go out with someone as a wolf before.  "I don't know if it's a good idea. We'd be leaving everything unattended and I don't think there's anyone around but there could be animals and I don't want to leave my crossbow or my knives unattended." Ares looked disappointed, but he nodded and remained seated on the ground beside me.  "I don't blame you. I wouldn't have dreamed of abandoning that knife to go off exploring, either.
