CHAPTER TWENTY
After countless back-and-forth emails and a previous cancellation, it was finally the day of Lila White's signing at the bookstore. Alex threw herself into preparations, excitement filling her when the boxes of books were delivered.
"How many preorders did we get?" Chris asked, his eyes widening as box after box was wheeled inside.
"I lost count. I also might have bought a bunch for anyone who didn't preorder," said Alex.
