Chapter *10*

HAPPY READING Sibel Pov "Hi boo," Keyana said and I couldn't help groaning. I was restless yet another night. How could I not be when I couldn't get my mind to calm the f**k down and shut the hell up. She walked into my room and pulled the curtains apart to reveal the sun had come out in all its sunny glory today. I groaned with the bright light on my face and threw my pillow at her. She sidestepped and threw it right back. I groaned again and try to shield myself from the sun, I just wanted life to make sense again. "Will you close those," I shrieked at her. My mood was already shitty and she was determined to make it worst. "You've moped around far too long, and I'm not having it anymore," she said, slumping into my bed and pointing a finger at me. "Come on... you're getting out of this bed today." "Will you leave me alone, I need to sleep." "And how much of it have you gotten." I rolled my eyes, and she snickered. "Get your butt up. I'm taking you out to dinner tonight after I give you a spa day and take you from under this cloud of doom." "I'm not in the mood to be dressed up and go out." "The hell you ain't. I've given you enough time, and you're not getting a minute more." She poked at my side, "Will you stop?" I pushed her hands away and sat up. "No, I wouldn't. Get out of this bed, and you stink, too." she turned up her nose at me. "I'm a ray of sunshine like the one creeping through my windows," I said, but it was an absolute lie. I hadn't taken a shower in three days, and it was like I couldn't move at all. I wanted to, but heartbreak wasn't my cup of tea. It was like all my dreams had turned into a rush of vapor jetting in the blink of an eye. The only thing I wanted now was to pull myself together as quickly as possible, but day after day, sitting here only made it harder and I coiled into a ball on my bed. Like I couldn't function... Ryon Menture was a greedy fucker, he wants all the things a man like him shouldn't have and I was foolish enough to think, he wasn't greedy at all. A baby, a baby mother, and a woman in love were just being mean and piggish. I stare down at the three-day-old clothes and wish I'd at least had the strength to change them. "Aww baby," Keyana, wound her arms around my shoulders and drew me onto her. I lay on her shoulders and it was the first time I cried in three weeks. I felt so stupid, life was moving along just fine around me but I felt stuck and I couldn't move. "I'm sorry I should be over this by now but..." "Shh. Heartbreak is an ugly predicament," she scoffed. "We need to get you out of it, eh." It sure is but it doesn't change a thing, I sniffled and wiped at my eyes. "No more making me cry," she wiped at her eyes and huffed out a breath. "Let's get you showered and dressed and we can either throw bricks at Ryon every time he passes or we stick to the schedule." "Tempting but a spa day and dinner sounds lovely." "I know my girl was in there, somewhere." "Go on, let's go," she rushed me out of bed and I shuttle to the bathroom. "And take your time... let the water soak you well," she said and I closed the door. Today was the last of my dooms day and I wasn't going to argue with her because I did stink. I need a long shower and to will myself to stop thinking about him which only makes my thoughts run crazier. The man just had to look at me and I was putty in his hand. The feel of those huge manly hands around me was too much and I wasn't okay but I’ve got my pride, I will not cry anymore but it’s making me weak. I sighed as I sat on the toilet to do my business. I'm not the kind of girl that he can let down and think that everything's okay. I could kick him. I flush the toilet and stripped out of my three-day-old PJ, I stepped into the shower and worked the tap. In a little more than half an hour I was scrubbed clean and somewhat revived. I moisturize my skin and missed the structure and schedule I usually thrived on before I allowed Ryon Menture to f**k up my brain. Imagine it was just his fingers and I didn't dare to think what his c*ck could actually do. The man was just s*x on legs, even down to his fingertips and he knows the damage he could do. It was pathetic how these small things had me relishing in self-pity. "What's a girl got to do," I mused knowing this would end in tears. I knew that but I wasn't ready to move on. Just put yourself out of this misery and swallow your pride, Sibel. I keep telling myself but I shake my head and threw on the pencil jeans and oversize sponge bob tee shirt Keyana had laid out my bed after I slipped on my matching Victoria set. I applied lip gloss and brush out my hair. I was ready. "Ready?" Keyana pushed her head through my bedroom door. I smiled and she rushed in "we're going to have a great time. We're going to get pedicures, manicures, get a nice massage and our brows done, get you in a nice sexy dress... girl we are going to run this town tonight. In no time at all, you'll feel like yourself." "Let's do it," I said ready to shed this burden on my heart and dead weight on my body. We slipped into Keyana's Mazda convertible and she shift the car into drive and cruises the few blocks to Jody's one-stop parla. We both sat in the spa pedicure chair, side by side after the fifteen minutes drive. Three hours later I was feeling divine after madam Jody worked every knot out of my body. "Girl, you're blessed, if I had known your hands were magical I'd been here long ago," I said and she laughed. "Make sure you come again and bring all your friends," she said. "Trust me... even people I don't know I would be telling about your hands," I said pulling over my tee shirt. "Sure right I'm as loose as a goose," Keyana said rolling her arms and we laugh heading out. "Final stop, we're going shopping," she clapped her hands and I was ready. After rummaging through rack after rack I finally settled on a sea-green satin, knee-length dress with a v-neckline. "Yes! Yes!" Keyana cheered excitedly and she walked out in a short black double-layer tulle dress. "Yes! Your self. I love this on you," I said. "And I love this on you..." she said as we step back into the dressing room. For the first time in three weeks, I was liberated and smiled and laughed. "You see that hunk over there," keyana discreetly tilts her head in the direction of two men standing not far away; one holding out two dresses while the other decides. "It's Rick, the guy from the club," I said turning back towards her trying to hide. I've ignored every one of his texts and denied his calls hoping I wouldn't run into him again. "Best way to get over one is to get under another," Keyana shrugged and I buried my face in my hand. "Kay, I don't need this right now," I whispered. "Too late," she murmured. "I knew it was you," he said and I turned around to face him. "Sibel," he said wide smile. "Hi, Rick. How are you? I said and he took my hand. Like the first time he did, I felt nothing at the contact. Nothing at all. No rush of heat, no pooling between my thighs, or quivering of my heart, no tremor on my skin, nothing compared to Ryon Menture's mere presence. "Not good at all. I was expecting a text or something," he said. "Look, Rick. I don't know what you think is going on here but there isn't anything between us. I thought I made it clear we can be friends but nothing else." "I thought friends were allowed to go out and text each other back," he said defeated and I felt horrible. "I'm sorry, I just have a lot going on right now and I can't add another door to the clutterfuck my life has been... please just step back." "Okay, I hear you, Sibel." "Okay," I said and hooked Keyana's arm walking to the cashier. "Bye, Rick," I said before we sashay to the counter and he looks after us. "That was harsh," Kay whispered as we paid for our dresses and the few other items we picked up. "He wouldn't stop." "So you took it out on him." "I'm just stressed. I wished he would look the other way thou." "Sibel subtle promises and walk away boo. Every other man is not dead because Ryon exits." They are to me and it's what hurts the most when he becomes this greedy. "Please let's just enjoy dinner," I'm tired of feeling like this. Reluctantly I pushed the car door open and stepped out into the afternoon sun. Feeling a little less overwhelmed as a rush of breeze floats through me and it's all I need. Other than a good meal, the warm sun and light breeze were doing wonders for me. "I'm famished," Kay said and my tummy growled. "I am too but tonight I will go all out and treat myself." "That's the spirit," she said and we walked the distance to the front door where yet another bouquet, a grizzly bear this time around, and two tickets to the theatrical district in New York. Was he crazy? "Clearly, I'm banging the wrong guy and I need me one of those Menture." "You can take this one, he's a waste on me," I said biting my lip and looking over his sweet jester. "And have you commit a felony? I rather not," she laughed and I rolled my eyes. Does he think sending me flowers every day, a teddy, chocolates, and tickets to a form of literary art will change a baby and a baby's mother? He's mistaken. After putting away the stuff we purchased and getting a good glass of lemonade. Kay and I stretched out in the living room, contended. "So you're in better spirits," she said. "What else can I do? I'm tired of drowning in misery." "You know it's commendable that he came clean. It's also commendable that he never went all the way with you. Even though we know you pushed the man numerous times." I was aghast. "I never pushed him." "That's why you were panties less on new year's night and what about three weeks ago and your first kiss." "You know too much," I admonished. "I know enough to know that a guy doesn't mince words to f**k you. Clearly, they would run after a dog in the street so what does that tell you." "That I'm not a dog in the street." "You're hard-headed," she shook her head, and I scoffed "I'm just saying he cares, that's all." "That he impregnated his best friend while my intention was known way before." "Sibel sorry to burst your bubble. I've seen too much... Married men do way worst, what makes you think a man that hasn't given a commitment would do any less." "The type that loves me and values me. Kay... Ryon gets a free past with all the other women, if I lay down and give him that past as well, what good will come of it." "A long line of broken hearts and tears. Lord knows I've had my share," she shook her head bitterly. "Good, let's talk about you. My life has been on replay and I can't stand it," I said and she burst out laughing. "Apart from the sugar daddy about to buy me a new car, nothing new," she shrugged. Kay didn't come from money but she certainly knew how to get it. She wasn't a hefty spender but she loved nice things and she knew how to get them. "A car?" "Yep the 2019 Mercedes Benz," she shrugged and her phone chimed. She smiled and looked up at me. "We should get ready." After a nice bath, I moisturize and did light makeup. I wanted simplicity but hotness and I was pleased after applying bronzer to my cheek, nose, and upper lip. I slipped into my dress and did the zipper. Smoothing out the front I was pleased. "Look at you," Kay smiled walking into my room equally dolled up and ready. "Look at you... Bestie," I cheered and she swaggered like she was on the runway. "Just full of yourself," I laughed. "Why wouldn't I be," she laughed and pulled at my arm. "You go girl," I laughed. "Let's head out." "I need my purse and phone woman," stepping back and picking up my stuff. No sooner we drove to the royal chateau restaurant and fine dining. "All this is on me," she said. "I don't mind splitting," I said and she shook her head. "My treat tonight, you got the next one," she said giving her keys to the valet and whispering something in his ears to which he nodded with a smile. "What was that?" "You think I want my car buried all the way at the back there." "I see," I mused, and we made our way inside. The dim romantic lights cascade the atmosphere with light instruments playing in the background and most of the tables occupied. "Reservation for Quartz please," she greets the hostess. "Right this way," the tall brunette with long legs said as we followed to the table fixed at the open view of the blue mountain with the blue water crashing against it. We took our seats and the drink menu was quickly handed to us. "I need to use the lady's room before I decide," kay said and I stood ready to follow her but she stopped me. "Don't— order for us, I'll be back shortly." "You sure," I asked puzzled she wouldn't want me to come. "I'll be right back please— tonight is about you," she said. "Order for us," she sashayed out of the room. I shake my head and looked back at the menu when her chair was pulled out and I hear the voice that almost made my heart jump out of my f*****g chest. "What are you doing here?!" "I came for you... Mind if I sit here." "Why." "So we can have dinner." "Where's Keyana?" "Already gone," he said and I was ready to shoot that sly fox. She set me up. I stood up quickly, throwing the menu card back onto the table. "Please have dinner with me," he pleaded. "Ryon..." I breathe out. "I will get on my knees and shout to this entire room if you do sit and have dinner with me." "Okay... Okay," I said when he was about to get on his knees but he drew me into his arms and inhaled. "You smell divine," he murmured and I closed my eyes regretting the minute he let go. "Tell me how much you miss me," he said helping me back into my seat. "I didn't know you like lies," I smiled mischievously at him. "You didn't miss me? Is that what you're going with." Silence. "So I have to kiss it out of you."
