“She has a boyfriend, don’t ever contact her again in your entire life or I’ll find you and kill you.”
“What?” I asked, even though I heard him perfectly.
“Michael, stop being an asshole and give me back my phone.” Abby’s frustrated voice echoed from the background.
I had only called Abby because she hadn’t responded to my text. And if I was being honest, I wanted to check what was going on after I figured that she was working in my family’s company.
That was an unexpected curveball.
Different thoughts raced through my mind.
I couldn’t help but wonder what her reaction had been when she thought it was me who resumed as her new boss.
I told her it was my brother and not me, but she didn’t respond and I wanted to know what she was thinking.
