The next morning, Cedar and I woke up early to return to Ninebark, as we still had a lot to prepare for the event tonight. I’d had a wonderful time with my childhood friends, but every one of us had personal concerns to handle in the individual paths we were following. Odd as it may seem, there was an intricate beauty in how far we had come. But regardless of where destiny might take us, I knew we would always be there for each other.
My old friends from Diamond Tempest insisted on accompanying me and my mate to our car. Jasper and Andromeda tagged along; they too had a journey ahead of them, back to their clan. Lance took a moment to wish me luck for the meeting, emphasizing his and his pack's continuous support, even if he couldn't be present in person.
