Chapter 12- Mandy’s Final Decision

“How long have I been in a coma, Shirley?” Simon asked weakly. He lay propped on the bed, looking quite pale.
“Nearly three months. And thank God, you finally came round.” Shirley replied, pouring a glass of water for Simon.
Before inheriting the family property, she had to maintain her virtuous image in front of Simon.
“Oh, by the way, has Elvis ever come back?” asked Simon.
Thinking of Elvis, he felt a twinge of guilt. Elvis was his own son, anyway. And after having narrowly escaped from death, he had realized some things.
If he had not gone too far seven years ago, Elvis’s wedding with Mandy would have ended perfectly, instead of turning into the funeral of Elvis’s mother. In that case, Elvis would not have broken away from the family.
Upon hearing Simon’s words, Shirley stood surprised a moment and then forced the medicine into Simon’s mouth, her eyes spitting venom.
“No. He has been gone for seven years. He doesn’t care about you at all.” She sneered, not telling him the truth.
Choking on medicine, Simon kept coughing. After a while, he gasped, “About what happened seven years ago, I do owe him an apology.”
After having reflected on what he had done before, he thought all this was a judgment on him for his sins.
“Just take care of yourself. There’s no point in regretting things in the past,” said Shirley, a bit angry.
With those words, she left the room in a hurry.
At the same time, Kelvin, who was wrapped in bandages, came to the door with one of his men helping move his wheelchair.
Shirley tipped Kelvin a wink, and then they moved to a secluded corner.
“Simon has regained consciousness. So, Kelvin, we must kill Elvis as soon as possible. How’s it going at your end?” Shirley said with a note of venom in her voice.
If Simon knew that Elvis had come back, then all that she and Kelvin had done would be revealed. Therefore, she could not put her mind at rest before killing Elvis.
“Don’t worry. I’ve arranged for eight elite killers to dispose of him tonight.” Kelvin replied.
As one of the biggest Mafia men in the city of Murray, he hadn’t ever been beaten to a wreck before. What’s more, Daniel, his son, had been slapped in public. That undoubtedly made quite a dent in his reputation. Therefore, he hated Elvis more than Shirley did.
“Can those eight elite killers make it?” Thinking of Elvis’s fighting capacity he had shown, Shirley questioned.
Although she looked down upon Elvis, wanting to get hold of a gun and blow him away, she could not ignore Elvis’s strong fighting capacity. If those eight elite killers failed to kill him, their conspiracy that had been painstakingly planned for so many years would be ruined.
“Just put your mind at rest. Those eight elite killers have followed me for so many years. I believe they will succeed. Although Elvis has the strong fighting capacity, he’s nothing more than a loser in front of pistols.” Kelvin said with a venomous smile.
“Not only to kill Elvis but also to the Greens!” Shirley said with her eyes that spat venom.
‘Since that Mandy had been waiting for Elvis for seven years, how could she split them up again? So she would let them die together and never separate.’ Shirley thought to herself.
In Nunsmere Hotel, Mandy had confirmed several partners after some discussion. At the same time, she had decided to set up a new company on the basis of Greens Jewelers.
But she didn’t choose to cooperate with all the rich merchants present. Although all of them had extremely large assets, she was afraid that there would be a great share ownership dispute of the company if they all joined in. Therefore, to avoid it, she had just chosen a few more powerful rich merchants as partners.
However, those who weren’t selected didn’t want to give up this opportunity to cooperate with Mandy. After all, they all wanted to take this opportunity to get closer with David.

After some discussion, those rich merchants invested 800 million dollars in Greens Jewelers in total. Besides, they gave Mandy a free hand with Greens Jewelers. Most important of all, they only asked 30% of the shares of Greens Jewelers.

Those rich merchants all breathed a sigh of relief when Mandy nodded assent. After all, it would be a win-win situation for both Mandy and them.
