CHAPTER FORTY
I stood up, heading towards my car in the hope of some alone time. She was okay according to Tae but that didn’t automatically translate to me being okay. Heaviness clung into my soul while the one question that lingered in my brain; played in a loop; Would Faith and I make it out unscathed in this horrible phase of life? I opened my phone, looking at pictures of us when we were happy. Her shy smile and how she would get flashed every time I tried to take a picture of her, tagged at my heart springs, a smile unconsciously tapping on to my lips.
“Can we talk?”
“Not really, Angel. I meant it when I said its better if you and I kept our distance from each other. I’m already fed up with what is going around me and so I certainly do not want to add this to the list,” I said. Ma
