CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE I huffed for the millionth time, completely annoyed by the contents of my sided of the wardrobe strewn on the bed. I needed at least a few clothes and well, with Mrs. Carter now in the hospital, I knew I’d probably not get paid for this month. I still had one hundred and seventy-three dollars saved up from the other months after I sent my part for the camping trip but that wasn’t enough to sustain me until Mrs. Carter was back on her feet.
