“Are you sure?” Kayen asked, scanning Avery’s face for any indicators telling him her memories were coming back. Avery seemed to be confused, worried, and partly unsure about what she had seen. The woman seemed strangely familiar to her, yet she knew she had never seen her before.
“I don’t know. Maybe,” Avery replied to him, keeping her confused expression. Kayen couldn’t simply ask her to share the image she saw in her mind with him. She might have been aware about Liam and werewolves, although she didn’t know they could shift into their animal form, but she had no information about Kayen’s magic. It would take a lot of questions to show her what he could do.
