“Tell me you found something.” Liam looked at his brother with hope in his eyes. Avery avoided him on every occasion. When she saw him entering the cafeteria, she stood up even when she didn’t finish her meal and left. Liam waited for those slight moments just to see her, despite the pain he felt whenever she turned her eyes away from him. The moment he entered the training ground outside, or the underground gym, she disappeared into thin air, taking the longer route around just to avoid him at the entrance. It almost made him feel like she had developed some sort of sensor, detecting his presence with a precise accuracy so she wouldn’t have to look at him. Funny, she didn’t avoid anyone else except him. It had been two weeks since their last talk and he hadn’t talked to her ever since.
