“I know, my dear, but I want to,” she replied to him, a soft smile decorating her lips. Anna looked at least twenty years younger than she actually was. Liam remembered those soft eyes, looking at him from above whenever he couldn’t sleep. Coddling him until he felt safe to close his eyes and let the darkness surround him. His mother knew exactly how to calm people’s minds, soothe their worries, and treat their hearts. She was exactly that kind of person with whom you would have to want to be stuck anywhere, knowing she would comfort you and encourage you exactly when it was necessary.
