Back in Tabitha's villa
The walls kept vibrating as the people outside tried to pull it down.
Finally, the walls gave in and a monster truck drove in, behind it were tens of police cars.
Gerald walked out of one of the cars and headed towards Tabitha with a vicious look, but got deterred seeing her smirk.
"We're here now! You can come out!" He yelled and his screams reverberated throughout the house.
Tabitha had no idea who he was referring to, whether to Dave and Davina who had already left, or to one of his comrades who she had killed.
"Before you continue screaming, let me inform you, the wall you mauled down cost me thousands of dollars to build it."
"Cut the crap, Ms. Stevens! Where are the people hiding in this house?!" The man thundered.
Well, he thought he did, but his tone of voice merely amused the lady. "People hiding in my house? Is that why you pulled down my wall of thousands of dollars? I thought officers are supposed to be smart, you proved me otherwise."
Gerald swallowed his saliva unwillingly and stared fiercely at her. "Where are they? Or do you prefer to tell the court that?"
"Are you going to arrest me for something I didn't do?"
"You did it! You harbored criminals in your house instead of handing them over!"
"Your allegations are quite huge and I doubt this would cause a bad dent to my reputation if the public were to hear of this. Do you have any evidence to support your claim, because I'm sure going to sue you after this!"
Her eyes were so firm that the man who hardly showed any emotion, felt his stoic face c***k.
Almost immediately, someone walked up to him and whispered something into his ears. His expression became grim as he stared at her with annoyance.
"I'm really sorry to have bothered you, but this was a clear misunderstanding." Gerald finally apologized and turned around.
"You're not leaving until you compensate me for the wall you ran down!"
The man stopped and so did the people with him. "The government will do so."
"Fine, let's wait for them together." Replied Tabitha, refusing to give up.
It so happened that she was bored and had nothing better to do at the moment. Davina and Dave were gone and she was once again lonely.
She looked towards the man and an idea creeped into her head. A vicious smile flattered her lips.
She said nothing for the next thirty minutes until she felt the man was getting frustrated.
"Truth be told, I'll be suing you even after my wall is fixed. Not only did you bring down my wall, but you also trampled on my right as a citizen." She said looking towards the Disney cartoon playing.
The man sighed and slowly turned to look at her. He felt he had underestimated the woman and now he was paying for it.
After he got into the house, he had sent one of his men to search the whole house for the man who they had sent in disguise.
Not only had the man he had sent returned empty-handed, but the house was devoid of any living thing.
"You telling me this means you need me to do something?"
"You're not entirely dumb and I liked that." Tabitha replied with a smile, swinging her legs as she talked.
"What is it you want? I have better things to do!" Gerald groaned, feeling the woman was deliberately testing his patience.
Hearing him, she revealed a sweet smile and urged. "Oh, I'm I? In that case you can go on and do what you have in mind. We'd meet in court in a few days regardless."
The man's expression became stern as he realized she was messing with him on purpose.
He turned to the man beside him, the third in command after Isabella. The latter had taken the day off saying she had something more important to do.
"Take the others back and inform the supervisor it was a complete failure."
Feeling his melancholic tone, the second in command sighed and nodded before leading the people away.
All this while they had all overlooked the bray substance which was many on the floor. The charred body of the officer.
"So what do you want from me?"
"Since you asked, I'll tell you. Actually...."
.....
In the Luc Villa
The older man stood overlooking the buzzling city before the door to his room was pushed open and a tired Becky walked in.
His weird mood was soon cast aside by him as she rushed towards her. "What happened to you?"
"I've been busy, dimwit!" Becky retorted and walked straight into the bathroom.
The man's hanging arms had to be brought down after a moment of shock and resentment for his daughter.
After he refused to do anything to help Davina clear her name, his mate and wife had been treating him differently.
She did everything a wife could do and even when they had s*x, it was done like an obligation.
He was utterly confused at what to do as he thought his daughter would've met 'him' by now.
He slipped out his phone from his pocket, preparing to call her. After dialling the familiar number, he was met with a 'not reachable' robotic voice.
It soon occurred to him she wouldn't dare use the line even though she still had it for fear of being tracked.
For a man who always made swift decisions regarding the safety of his pack, he was now at a loss for what to do.
Holding his throbbing forehead slightly, he narrowed his eyes as he stabilized himself for the curse he'd receive from his wife after asking for Davina's number.
No sooner had he taken a step forward did a loud bang sound on his door. He paused and glanced towards it before muttering coldly. "What is it?"
"Ms. Stevens is in danger!" A frantic voice yelled from the door.
