On our way back I leaned back against the seat and looked out of the window watching the trees blur by. I don’t know when I ended up falling asleep, but I was awaken by Jasper.
“My love, we’re home” he gently shakes me. Usually he would have carried me up, but since we have an appointment he’s waking me up. I open my eyes and he smiles at me. I unbuckle my seatbelt and look in the back only to see the SUV was empty.
“Where are my parents?” I asked. Did they leave me again? Did they decide not to help? Did they not like me?
“I had Carmen take them to cabin twelve” he tells me and I nodded.
“What just went through your mind?” he asks.
“N-nothing” I lied.
“Baby, have I ever told you how horrible you are at lying? Not to mention the stone Blake gave us” Jasper says. I sigh
