When we enter the pack hospital they staff bow their heads in respect before telling us in what room Zachary is. Yamilet softly knocks on the door and opens it to see Alec lying on the bed while Zachary lying on Alec's stomach clutching at his shirt. Alec’s eyes snap open and growls protectively while holding Zachary close. This caught us by surprise as I growled back in warning. I knew it was is wolf and not his human. Braxton, Alec's wolf bows his head in submission before giving Alec back control.
“Sorry, you caught me by surprise” Alec says softly.
“It’s okay. Your wolf seems to be protective of Zachary” Yamilet said. He looked at Yamilet then at me.
