The sky had turned orange and pink as the sun began to set over the Gold estate. A small table had been set up in the garden under the veranda. The tiny light above the table made everything look pretty. The air was full of the sweet smell of rose flowers that were blooming.
Elena walked into the garden wearing a light blue dress that fit her body perfectly. Lidia had helped her pick the dress. She had also given her a pair of tear drop diamond earrings which she said used to belong to Leonardo’s mother. Her heart was beating faster and faster as she got closer to the table. She was excited to see how Leonardo would react when he saw her.
