Chapter 51: Early in the morning

Michael

Mom and dad left the house already. “So, are you going to eat now as your mom?” Janice asked me while smiling. Guess she is having a great time today. “Yeah! I will do what she told me because I think it is better.” I said to Janice. “Okay then, I will tell Maria to bring your breakfast here already.” Janice said to me and left me on the table. 

After a minute, I saw Maria coming in my direction with milk and a plate, well of course, there was already food on the plate. They already prepared it. “Hi, Good morning.” I said to Maria. “Good morning Michael, quite early huh, what happened?” Maria asked. Guess people are really into my business. But it is okay to me though. “Oh, I woke up early today because I fell asleep early. My body got the number of hours it needed that is why I was able to wake up.” I said to Maria. “I see. As always, you will have an egg and some beans today with your favorite fresh milk from your friend's best farm.” Maria said as if she was a promoter. 

Funny, she even changed from best friend to friend best. “Hahaha… Everyone of you seems so bubbly huh? Thanks Maria.” I said to Maria while laughing. What she did just made me so happy. What a great day to start. 

I started eating my food. Egg is essential for the body so we always have edd for breakfast. Milk at the same time is the same. But we drink fresh milk and unprocessed. At first some people might find fresh milk disgusting since you can smell something funny with it. But as for me who knows that it is better for the body, I just don’t care, now I feel it is really good and tastes good too. John drinks this too. Well, it is from their farm though. Nick at first, I thought he would find it disgusting but he didn't. He actually liked the taste of it. Which was surprising or maybe Nick just has different taste buds. 

After a couple of minutes, I finished my breakfast. So I stood up from my seat and went to the kitchen to deliver my plate and glass so the helpers wouldn't have to get it. “Oh, you can just leave there because we will get them for you.” Leonora said to me softly. “No worries. I just thought that I have a lot of time so there is no problem putting them here.” I said to Leonora. “Whaa! Thank you Michael, you are just a good kid.” She said with a huge smile. “I will go upstairs and wake Nick so he can eat breakfast too.” I said to Leonora. “Yes, of course. We will prepare his breakfast then.” Leonora said to me before I left the kitchen.

I went straight to the bedroom upstairs to wake Nick. As I opened the door, I immediately walked straight to the bed where Nick is sleeping soundly. “Nick, wake up.” I said softly. He is still sleeping. I wonder what time he slept yesterday. I think he slept enough though. “Nick…” Still no reply from him even though I am already shaking him a bit. “I am left with no choice then.” I said and then moved my face closer to his. My mouth is now close to his ear. I first prepared myself to a better position so if he wakes up to slap me I am ready. “Nick woke up.” I said to his ear. It was not a whisper because my voice was loud and I knew that it was enough for him to wake up. 

“What?!” Nick said as he turned his face to me. His face is now close to mine. “s**t!” Nick said as he tried to push me. I backed off. What a relief that I already positioned myself so my reflexes can work easily. “What a bad mouth.” I said to Nick. “It is your fault. Why was your face close to mine?” Nick asked. I guess he didn’t know that I woke him up by placing my mouth near his ear. “I woke you up. And it is not my fault you turned.” I told Nick my reason. 

It is not really my fault though. Firstly, I placed my face to his side so my mouth could be close to his ear. He turned that was the thing. And I was not the one who turned. “Ugh! Whatever Michael.” He said and changed his position. He sat on the bed. “I am going to the bathroom,  finished eating my breakfast. Just eat there and when I finish taking a bath you can go and take a bath too.” I explained the series of actions we have to take so there will be no trouble and waste of time.

“I see. Thank you sir.” He said and got off the bed. “Sir?” I said to myself. He really knows what to say. “Good.” I replied to him and I walked to the bathroom and went inside. Nick as well walked out of the bedroom. He was quite obedient and did not say much about me waking him up which is great. 

Nick

I am now walking downstairs. “What the hell was wrong with him a while ago? Waking me up next to my ear.” I said while walking. Our faces were so close to each other which made me push him. I even felt my heart beating so fast. I think it was because what happened was embarrassing. “Ugh! I couldn’t even say something when he said it was my fault because I turned.” I said to myself while shaking my head and messing my hair at the same time. I should wake up by myself. But this is really a problem, normally Michael wakes up early. What I have to do is not to wake up early but to wake up on time. Enough not for him to wake me up. 

Tomorrow I will set an alarm on my phone so I can just wake up by myself. I think it was really my fault though. If I did not turn, our faces would not be that close to each other. “s**t!” I can’t even stop thinking about it. “Erase… erase… erase!” I said while my eyes were closed. “Erase what?” I heard someone say so I opened my eyes to see the person. “Nothing, Theresa. Good morning.” I said to her, trying to change the topic. “You should not close your eyes while walking, you might bump into someone or something.” Theresa said to me. “Lucky! It totally made her change the topic.” I said to myself. “I know. Thank you for reminding me.” I said to Theresa. “You are going to eat breakfast right? Let’s go.” Theresa said and we walked together to the kitchen. 

When we arrived, I immediately sat on my chair and Theresa went to get my breakfast. After a minute, she arrived with a glass of milk and plate with food on it. “Here. Eat well and don’t be late for school.” Theresa said to me as she handed over the glass of milk and plate. “I will.” I replied to Theresa. She just replied with a smile and went to the living room. I think she was about to clean the living room when she saw me. 

It is so early for her to clean the house. But I guess she doesn’t want to waste time and let’s say someone will visit the house so it will be clean and that they are not going to do it after we leave the house. They can start watching. Besides, everyone in this house has the right to watch on the TV. They are allowed. Which is really amazing. Mom and dad are really kind people. I hope everyone is like them. Rich yet kind. Where can you get such people? I don’t know. Not a lot of people are like them. 

I started eating my breakfast. I immediately finished it so I can return to the bedroom and take a shower. “You’re finished?” Janice asked when she saw me bringing my plate and glass to the sink. “Yeah!” I replied back to Janice shortly. “Whaaa! Nick woke up so early and now… are you in a hurry?” Janice asked me. “What time did Nick woke up?” I asked Janice. “Hmmm… I think it was 5:35 am?... when he woke up. Not really sure of the time because I just saw him together with your mom talking.” Janice said to me. “Well, that is really early.” I said to Janice. “That is why. Okay, I will prepare myself too so we can go already.” Janice said to me as she walked out. She has her own room and bathroom inside. 

“Did Michael wake up early so he can say goodbye to mom and dad? Or…. it was only because he slept early yesterday evening.” I said to myself. “Wait… Why am I even thinking about this?” I said to myself. I should go back upstairs so I can already take a bath and go to school early so Michael’s wake of me will not go to waste, even though it was quite embarrassing and annoying of him.
