“"What?! Why?" I said to him with a bit louder voice.
“I have to finish a project with Jake. The due is tomorrow.” Nick replied to me softly. In fairness, he is speaking softly with me, so it makes me feel like he does not want a quarrel to arise between us.
“I understand. If you are going home, you can call the driver so he can come and get you.” I said to Nick softly at the same time.
“No need, I can commute.” Nick said to me.
“Why would you commute? It is not safe.” I said to Nick.
“I am a guy, nothing else is going to happen to me,” Nick replied.
“He is right, what am I acting up though?” I asked myself.
“Okay. Will you be doing your project in his apartment?” I asked Nick as I ate a spoonful.
“No. We will do it in school.” Nick replied to me without hesitating
