Chapter 42: Cucumber Juice

“Ugh! I lost again with you.” John said and put his phone on his desk. “Not my fault. I am just so skilled so… sorry.” I said and stretched my arms and fingers. I often do this whenever I feel cool with myself. 

“Nick…” I was not able to finish what I wanted to say after I turned to look at Nick. He is now sleeping beside me. We were so into what we were playing that I did not notice that he was already sleeping beside me. “Is he tired?” John asked softly. “I don’t think so. Maybe he felt like he could sleep a little so he did.” I answered John’s question. “Does he often do this?” John asked again. I believe that he is curious about Nick.

I always thought that this is a skill that Nick has. He can sleep anywhere and anytime. He likes sleeping too so that whatever position he is doing, he can fall asleep. “It is his hobby to sleep.” I answered John and also explained a little. “What?!” He shouted in surprise. John was also laughing a little so I shut his mth using my hand. 

“Do you want to get killed? Nick doesn’t like it when someone wakes him in his sleep.” I said to John and slowly took my hand off his mouth. “Sorry. He might be really scary. I was just shocked to hear that sleeping is a hobby. Since when? Whaa! Nick is just really something that is so different to normal people.” John said as he wiped his mouth because there were some saliva that went out of his mouth when I shut it. I then noticed that the hand that I used to cover his mouth felt a little sticky so I looked at it. “s**t! You are so disgusting.” I said softly to Nick since I am still limiting myself so I will not wake him up. “Not my fault that you put your hand on my mouth dude.” John said and turned his head on the other side so he would not look at me. “Ugh!” I exclaimed. 

“You lost so buy me a drink in the canteen. Come one.” I said to Nick. “How about Nick, he will be alone here?” John asked as he turned to point Nick. “Don’t worry, nobody comes inside the classroom until there is at least 5 minutes left to start the class.” I said to John and helped him walk outside the classroom. I know he cares about Nick because he is new here but he shouldn’t. 

“What if he wakes up and sees that we are not there?” John asked another question. “Don’t worry he will wake up when his alarms ring and I think that 5 minutes before the class so that is just enough for us to go back inside the class.” I said to John. “Fine. You said so.” John replied to me. 

After that small talk about Nick we directly went to the canteen and bought a cup of cucumber juice. We can’t bring it inside our classroom and we can only drink it inside the canteen so we sat on the chair and drank. John also bought one for him so he won’t feel thirsty while looking at me. 

“Do you think we can still play one more game?” John asked me. “I think we can still do it.” I replied and immediately took my phone out of my pocket and opened the application that we use in playing. “Who ever loses will do a dare okay?” I said to John. “Fine!” John replied immediately. He didn’t know that I had a plan for why I said this. “I will surely win this so he will get to do my dare. You wait.” I said to myself as I furiously stared at my phone. “Okay! Let us start it now.” John said aggressively. 

I can sense that he is a bit after knowing that there will be a dare. He might have something off his sleeve but one thing he doesn’t know. I actually planned this already. I can’t wait to make him do my dare. I am actually sure that I will now. I am confident whenever I start something, especially when it comes to playing since I only lost a few times with him. Actually, at the time that he won, I made him win purposely. He is quite a good gamer that even though I know I will win in the end, he is worth playing with. I don’t want him to stop playing with me so I sometimes purposely lose myself to him so he won’t stop playing with me. “Start!” I replied to John and we both started the game.

After a couple of minutes

“HAHAHA I won!” I shouted and stood up as soon as I was declared the winner. “Ugh! I lost.” Nick replied sadly. “Too bad. Prepare yourself to do my dare.” I whispered to John. “Shut up! Let’s go inside the classroom, Nick might have been waiting for the both of us. “Hey! If I tell you to do it you must, okay? A dare is a dare.” I said to John to let him remember. “I know. You don’t have to explain.” John replied a little annoyed and walked straight leaving me standing still. 

“Hey it is not my fault you lost.” I said as I jumped on him and bumped my shoulders to his shoulders. “Ugh! annoying!” John replied. Whenever he loses with me is like this. 

When we entered the classroom I saw Nick standing still as if he was frozen. Then I noticed that he was staring at something. When I turned, Jake caught my eyes. “So he is here already.” I said to myself. I don’t know what happened to both of them but it is quite irritating. “Hey, why are you standing here? Go to your seat now.” I said to Nick. I don’t care if my words were a little off as well as my voice. I just feel not right at the moment. 

I was waiting for Nick’s reply but he didn’t. “What?” I said as I moved to sit on my seat. “Ugh!” Nick said as he walked away from me. I believe he is also irritated. He walked slowly to go to his seat. I then saw him turning his attention to Michael's direction. As soon as Nick arrived on his seat he sat hastily. I turned to look again at Jake’s direction and saw him staring at Nick but with blank eyes.
