Chapter 26
I'm chained again. My fingers and toes were broken by Marco. My bones were in odd angles and I couldn't heal because of the silver chains.
We we're back in our old cottage. I was in a dirty robe on the ground withering in pain.
I had a silver chain around my neck like a dog.
Marco yanked on it hard making me gasp and choke.
"You made me kill my only friend." Marco growled angrily.
He was panicking. Marco knew I already contacted my family. They were on their way and the Watchers- his mom's men- didn't want to risk coming to help him.
The Shadow Howlers outnumbered them easily and the horror of the Ancient One coming to rescue me was too much for them.
He was alone.
