After talking with Gloria Ned goes back to the saloon mumbling “That woman is crazy as hell. No man here wants her greedy and lazy tail.” He sat at the bar looking at Jamie and shook his head. “Son, give me a bottle of whiskey. Gloria thought I would marry her nasty tail. We all know why Milton married her and she couldn’t even do that.”
Jamie sits a bottle of whiskey on the bar and two glasses “Father that woman has always been crazy. I need a glass of this. Why would that woman believe you would take her in when we just got rid of Mary Catherine.” Jamie leans closer to his father and whispers. “What couldn’t she do?”
“Forget I said that.” Ned shakes his head, “it’s no sense in bringing that up. Milton is a good man, and I don’t want to cause his family any trouble.”
