Caroline and Peter arrive at Alfred’s house. He tells her not to mention what they were discussing a home. She rolls her eyes at him “You know I’m right.”
He nodded, “Yes dear, I know. But it’s not any of our business.” Peter knew the way his wife looked at him, she wasn’t going to let it go until she knew the truth. He can’t believe how much Caroline had changed from a spoiled brat into a loving and caring woman.
Cort was coming downstairs from setting the nursery up in Caroline's old bedroom. He was surprised to see Peter and Caroline there today. Peter had mentioned earlier that he was planning to plow the field with his brothers Patrick and Paul.
Peter looks at him and shakes his head, pointing at Caroline.
