Emily I have moved through the motions of the day without much regard to the world around me. When I showed up to work this morning, there was a stack of paperwork ready for me to dive into, a plethora of spreadsheets and budgets that people needed me to look at and to point out any discrepancies that may be in its data. I kept my head down and worked throughout the day, ignoring everybody who tried to distract me, including Delilah, who purposely made a show of stepping inside of Logan's office just a moments ago. I had to get up and excuse myself from the office, taking a quiet break at the nearby café, just across the street from the office. I ordered myself a cup of tea and calmed my nerves, my stomach twisting and turning from the deliberate display of being alone with my husband.
