“Leave us,” he said.
Miranda and her team packed up and left the lounge.
“I don’t need you to explain,” he said. “I’ve seen the video and the comments. I’ve seen enough.”
“You think I planned that?” I asked.
“I think you let it happen.”
I exhaled hard. “I didn’t even know anyone was filming. We were talking. That’s all.”
“You let him touch you.”
“I didn’t stop him. That’s not the same.”
“It is when the whole internet thinks you’re into him,” he snapped. “Do you know how this makes me look?”
“This isn’t about your image,” I said.
“It’s always about the image, Sophia. That’s what this deal was for. That’s why we’re even in this situation. I brought you into this and now you’re the scandal.”
I didn’t say anything because I didn’t know if I was angry or just hurt.
