SOPHIA’S POV The moment I walked into the party, every head turned. But the only one I cared about was Jace’s, and the woman standing too close beside him. Beverly. “Oh, welcome,” she beamed. “You two look great together.” I almost rolled my eyes at her. Of course, she’d say things like that. “Thank you, Beverly,” Silas said. Jace stood there, staring at me. I was wearing a mini short black dress with wrap heels and lipstick in the shade he loved. “If only you gave your date a pinch of the attention you’re giving to mine,” Silas said to him.
