SOPHIA’S POV The seatbelt cut across my chest as the car lurched forward. I gripped the handle by the door and glared at him. “Where the hell are you taking me?” Jace kept his eyes on the road, one hand loose on the wheel, the other drumming against the leather. “To my meeting.” I looked down at myself and heat rushed up my neck.
