Chapter Seventy-One

Saige It's been two very long days since I last saw Hunter. As Zeke and I made our way back to town toward his pack, Hunter was nowhere to be found. It was the strangest thing like I couldn't feel our connection anymore. What if he decided to find a way to remove the mark that I left on him? Would he even want to do that? Zeke's pack was awesome. They helped keep my mind off Hunter for a bit, but even they weren't a big enough distraction. I couldn't help but think he left me because of the kiss I shared with Zeke. He had to have seen it, but that didn't seem like Hunter. He would want to know why I did it, wouldn't he? Being in the mountains for two days was definitely a whole different climate. It was colder and mugger. The air in my lungs was more constricted, but I learned to adapt
