The walk didn’t do much but getting out of the castle for a while was nice.
I sat on the bench overlooking the pond.
My mind wandered to Renee and what she would say when she woke up, but every time I thought about it, I came up with a million and one ways of saying she didn’t want anything to do with me.
After an hour, I started to head back toward the castle. I knew I needed to get back, not just for Renee but for the Elders.
