“ You haven't forgotten that you were one of our finest warriors, right?” I asked. Andrew shook his head in reply.

“ Then what are you going to do now? Are you not going to tell her her origin? Where does she come from? Or are you planning on keeping it a secret from her?” I asked. My blood was boiling since I saw Mike's hand on mates hips.

“ Your highness, Mia is a human and I believe you have sensed it too,” he started.

“ Since her mother had passed away in the rogue attack, I only wanted a life which is better for her away from all the chaos since she is a human.”

“ I did not want her to be involved in the pack any more but that had changed when I saw rogues in human territory,” he said.

“ I don't know how much time I have left for myself and she is the only family I have. And I am afraid of losing her, that is the reason why I didn't tell her about us,” he added.

“ Now that she is here and is going to live here you better tell her everything for yourself,” I suggested.

“ She needs time to adjust here,” he replied. And I did not like his reply nor did my wolf. We need her, I need her. I don't know how long I will be able to control myself when she stays in my room and sleeps on my bed.

“ I have already given you three days.” I could see he wanted to say something but he was hesitating.

“ What is it?” I asked.

“ Alpha, she is a girl with dreams and ambitions, I ….. i…… don't know how to tell her and how well she will handle everything,” he said. One thing I understood is that he loves his daughter more than one ever could imagine but she is my luna and once she lets me mark her, she will also feel the bond as strong as I do.

“ Do you know why I keep insisting on keeping her here?” I asked. He didn't look surprised, on the contrary he nodded his head at me.

“ She is your mate,” he said. I know how the bond works. I have seen and felt everything when Zarina was alive. His eyes dimmed as soon as he mentioned his mate.

“ I am happy and honoured that she is your mate but at the same time I am scared and I believe you know the reason,” he said.

“ I do. And she will change as soon as I mark her. If not, the more people know about her the more dangerous it will become,” I added, tapping my fingers on the table.

“ I will tell her tomorrow,” he said.

“ You may leave and take some rest.”

Nodding his head he stood up and turned around before waking out of the office. With a deep sigh, I leaned back into the chair, closing my eyes. It has become so hard for me to control myself since we both smelled her scent.

“ I am not sure that she won't try to escape again even if you threaten her,” Emma said from the couch.

“ I am waiting for her to try that. That way she will see my wolf as well,” I said, opening my eyes as a smirk made its way on my face.

“ Alpha,” Emma gasped, as she understood my intentions.

“ I don't know how I am going to face her now,” Emma said, standing up from the couch.

“ She is your best friend, just tell her.”

She shook her head before walking out of the room.

“ you did the wrong thing man,” Justin said as he came in.

“ don't start now,” I said.

I can't and I won't be able to sit here when I leave her in my room alone. I got up from my chair and waited for Justin to say whatever he had to say.

“ Do you know how difficult it was for her when she grew up without a mother? She never complained even when she was being bullied in school. Now that everything has started getting better her a**h*le boyfriend cheated on her,” he said

“ Now you even threatened her using her father? How can you be so cruel?” He asked. I didn't like the way he was describing her. He knew everything about her and it was making me angry.

“ Yes I am cruel,” I said raising my voice.

“ So what? She is mine and mine alone,” I stated, through my gritted teeth.

“ No one is allowed to touch her. How would you have felt if someone touched Emma in front of you?” I asked, slamming my hands on the table.

“ You are unreasonable,” he said.

“ I do have a request. Please don't hurt her anymore,” he said before walking out of my office. F*ck, I cursed, punching on the table, breaking it in half. Why is everyone defending her? She is my mate and it is wrong for her to leave me.

Without wasting my time anymore I walked around the table and walked out of my office.

“ Damien, fix the table in my office,” I said through the link.

“ Yes, alpha.”

My office and my room are on the same floor. As I reached my room, I softly turned the knob before pushing the door open. The room was dark and cold as the window was left open. Using my speed I went to the window and closed it.

I turned and looked on the bed when I left her. My heart clenched seeing her in the same spot as I left her. She was curled into a ball and her breathing was stable.

Gingerly I walked to my bed and looked at her for a few moments. The room was illuminated by the moon. Her face was glowing under the moonlight. She is nothing but gorgeous.

I stripped out of my clothes and joined her on the bed when I saw her wrapping her arms around her body in the cold. I pulled on the cover on both of us. But it was of no use because she is a human and didn't have the ability to keep herself warm.

I pulled her to my chest to make her warm and comfortable. I gulped when her lips made contact with my bare chest above my heart. I know she is going to be furious tomorrow. But I could care less about that right now.

I closed the gap between us by pulling her to my body and hugging her.

“ Ummm,” a moan of content left her lips. But it made everything worse for me.

I didn't know how long I stared at her face before I fell asleep.
