Simon’s pov
Kain and I have felt unsettled ever since Ri left in the car to visit her old pack, we are both worried about how upset she is going to be around her family, but there is also this bad feeling that we just can not shake either.
Kain is connecting to Nala every half an hour or so just to make sure that they are fine and not distressed. It is managing to keep us just on the right side of sane. I don’t think we will settle down fully until I can go to her or she will be back here with me.
Kain had just done his check in and couldn’t feel our link to them, just as we were starting to freak out and getting ready to shift and run all the way there to get to our mate our phone rings with her name. I can’t say the call made me any more calm.
