CAR ACCIDENT
"Jason Wexter you're doing it again!"
An exclamatory voice gave Jason who had been driving to almost pulled out the bluetooth earpiece to save his ears from the after effects of the growl. He held out the urge in respect to the other party who was his respected elder sister, who's tone wasn't pleasant but not without valid reasons.
He knew he had angered her once again.
"This is the sixth time in just three years!" She growled but this time with much restraint and a stern tone that she ussually used to discipline him. He was no longer young, but he still had to go through her strict discipline. He knew that he should have been indoors, lighting a few few fireworks with his family, but there was suddenly a clue on the case he's been working on. Such clue appears once after a long while and he couldn't stay on stand-by 24/7, resulting to his moving out of the family home after morethan twenty years of living there.
He lived in a quiet district in the Complex section of Crown city, considering its high maintainance and high military level security. Complex district was situated in the outskirt of Crown city, but had been prosperouse over the years with many commercial avenues. Besides, it was very close to his investigator agency, making it easier for a leave to and from the company.
Lately he had been dealing with a bloody criminal case, investigations had taken a toll on him but he was never tired of burning his brain cells on the huge challenging criminal case.
A woman committed suicide in her bath tub, leaving behind a hand written letter explaining her depression and inability to move on. Her attending psychologist and nearby CCTV had proven her frequent visits to the hospital. After an indepth investigation and several recorded sessions of her psychological counceling, it had proven that Yolande Miles had indeed committed suicide.
However, his sixth sense told him that her sudden death had another story to it, however, he wasn't a compassionate person. He wouldn't bother about other's business if no body or no trigger was pulled at him.
Yolande Miles had a husband and an eight year old daughter, both parties were strongly shaken by her death, but could testify with certainty the abnormality of their loved one.
November had just approached by then and the weather had been quite cold and chilly, the heater in his office had been put on, keeping the cold out-door. His mind was focus on unrelated matters when a knock at his office door brought him back to reality.
'Sir, a certain Mrs Lily Leon seeks your presence.'
Lily Leon, he pondered for a few seconds that took him to remember who was Lily Leon to Yolande Miles. The lady was gentle with a pair of innocent monolid eyes perfectly settling on her dainty heart shaped face. She had a dark shoulder length medium layer hair cut that accentuated her delicate features. A beautiful smile that gave off a warm and gentle image. But no matter how beautiful she was, it didn't make any difference to Jason Wexter, because he had seen a fair share of beauties. The lady in front of him was in her early thirties, but because she had been meticulouse about her health, her age could be well concealed.
'Lily Leon, Yolande Miles' best friend, .' she briefly explained to him with curtesy, aware of his knowlegde of her.
Of course he knew, the white stylished clothed girl in front of him due to his involvement in Yolande Miles 'suicide' case.
'I'll be straightforward Mr Wexter, I need a profound investigation on my friend's death, because I don't believe her death was a suicide.'
She was indeed straightforward with her comment and request, of course without further ardo he agreed to the challenge, not because of the hefty sum paid by Lily Leon.
He had discovered not long that Yolande Miles had the traces of AGI's involvement in a positive stand. Despite this fact, he still decided to rush towards that positive clue with hopes to overturn both cases. He's been investigating AGI for five long years, but he had been involved in Yolande Miles case for barely a month.
As for why he was so bent on investigating on AGI...
"Are you even listening?" His sister's voice prodded
His sister was right, he hadn't heard a single word of what she had been saying, revealing that truth would probably cause her to be more enraged than she is at this moment.
"Jennie, I'm on drive, can we talk later?" Jason Wexter demanded with a gentle voice, he was obviously pleading on her compromise.
"Fine, then drive to Twilight district."
Twilight district was a properouse area of Crown ci because of the beautiful dawn and air pollution free environnement it was named Twilight. There were a total of five mansions in Twilight district, his family's mansion was situation further on the best area. He had lived there for twenty two years of his life, but he would occasionally rush over for family gatherings and attend festive days like Thanksgiving, New Year, Christmas Eve and christmas.
Today wasn't an exception, he was rushing over when one of his subbordinate had gotten him informed about clues of the AGI case. He knew he had to celebrate christmas Eve with family, but he also had to follow the clues.
"Fine, you win, call me back when you're not behind the steering wheel." Jennie reluctantly added, her tone concealing an obviouse dissappointment, he knew she certainly was. She surely had the right.
"I'm sorry Jennie." Jason added with a heavy tone, he was a man of few words so he didn't offer her words of comfort.
"Tell that to her." Jennie said, her tone was no longer just laced with dissapointment, but there was additional emotion called pity and heart ache. He knew why she felt that way, he knew his sister so much that he could deduce her emotions and thoughts from her tone.
"I'll call you back." Jason gave a confirmation without commenting any further, meanwhile Jennie fell silent for a few seconds before she exhaled heavily.
"As long as you don't forget." She hung up after saying six words of reminder."
Jason Wexter focused his attention on the snow covered tarred road as if the scenario with his sister had never occured. His mind was still set on the location sent by his subordinates, with determination in his eyes he stepped on the gas pedale, driving in a fast yet steady pace. He had to make a breakthrough with his clue so he couldn't drive back now, unless an unexpected occurence of utmost importance stopped him.
The black Cayenne sped up like a cheetah, despite the snow covering the road, it didn't hinder the black Cayenne's driving capacity. Jason Wexter continued to drive when he once again received an incoming call from his subordinates.
He stretched out his long slender fingers to accurately and habitually presse on the bluetooth earpiece, but his next action came with an unexpected sudden but swift and steady break, causing a loud screeching sound and the black Cayenne's acrobatic show in the dark snowy night. The sudden break had caused a shock and a slight impact on his forehead, with a streak of blood gliding down like a red string.
However, Jason Wexter ignored the impact on his forehead and quickly rushed out of his black Cayenne. His ussual calm demeanor now contrasted with the obviouse panic in his eyes when he recalled the event that took place prior his sudden break.
No one would expect something so sudden in a highway of few cars and inhabitants, but the white lump lying on the ground reminded him that he hadn't hit a lump of snow.
He quickly took a few steps towards the lump on the ground which almost blended with the white snow on the black tarred road.
'An Angel falls from the sky, what would you do?' Jason Wexter contemplated on his first thought, reminding him of a few jokes from his subordinates that he had merely dismissed with disdain. He carefully knelt in front of the 'angel' whom he had probably crashed on.
Lying motionless on the floor was a woman covered in long golden locks that had been tainted by a scary red blood. Jason frowned, carefully sweeping off the golden locks from her blood stained face, the moment her face was revealed, Jason Wexter gasped with a deep breath. He wasn't a man who would easily fall into the luxuriouse fairy fantasy beautiful women brought, but he was momentarily mesmerized by an unconsciouse beauty who's golden hair waa stained with blood.
She was like a combination of sleeping beauty and a sexy blood thirsty vampire, her beauty lacked words and she gave off the feeling of an immortal who had mistakenly descended the mortal world.
Her pink cherry lips still emitted a luscuouse pink color despite her pale white skin that almost blended with her dress and snow.
Holding her upright he felt for a pulse in her neck and only sighed in relief when he confirmed she hadn't joined the kingdom of Hades yet. He felt the warmth of her skin and artery beating shallowly but steadily against his finger tips.
He held her creamy white hand, discovering a great contrast to his muscular wheat skin. The girl was soft and fragrant despite been covered in blood, she exuded absolute beauty, just like a porcelain doll with eyes closed. He bet those closed eyes hid beautiful pupils under her long butterfly eye lashes.
The thought was merely processed when her long eye lashes trembled and her eyes fluttered open. She was a green eye blonde with the most beautiful gemlike green eyes he had ever seen.
"Who are you?"
Her voice was weak like a cat's meow, but he could discern the springlike flow of her voice in his ear like a gentle melody.
"You had an accident ?" She stared intently at him as if ascertaining something from his facial features.
