CALLIE I arrived at the mansion before dusk, my lungs were burning and my heart was pounding, almost painfully, in my chest. To say I was exhausted was an understatement, I was weak. Weaker than I had thought initially. And now I was running towards certain uncertainty. But the Goddess believed in me, my species counted on us for the plan to work and my powers to be enough.
