It was almost time for the full moon, and I was beyond nervous. The night before I had felt something stir inside of me, something besides the pup as if some force was moving in my womb. I had a feeling something was going to happen tonight during the full moon, something more than the battle awaiting.
There was a knock at the door, and I jumped as Zoey walked inside carrying a tray of food. “How are you feeling today?” Her tone was worried as she sat down on the bed beside me and placed a palm on my forehead, checking for a fever.
