King Silas     As soon as we reached the royal chambers, Alana asked everybody to wait in the living room, then she disappeared down the hall.  Lance and Celeste took a seat on the couch, while the other two stood to the side and looked around with curiosity swirling in their eyes.       I thought about striking up a conversation, but I honestly had no clue what to say to any of them.  Alana’s father didn’t hide his dislike for me, and the other guy was her teenage crush.  As for the women, I didn’t want to do or say anything that might make Alana think I’m flirting.     Instead of trying to talk to them, I stood by the hallway entrance and waited for Alana to return.  I was glad when she appeared less than two minutes later with Jax clinging to her like a spider monkey.     He still l
