Chapter 14: Funerary Rights
Jade spent the next two days putting her affairs in order, making a new will, and trying to plan what to do if she got back to Cablans from Lemmanta. She chafed at this time of inaction once she’d decided what she had to do, but she didn’t want to arrive on Lemmanta too early for the funeral.
Now, the time for action having finally arrived, Jade stopped across the street from the Pale House to get a quick meal. As she consumed the ersatz burrito, she reviewed what Val had told her about Lemmantine funeral rites.
