NAPAANGAT ng tingin si Blythe nang may mahinang kumatok sa kaniyang lamesa.
“Yes, Sir?” she asked politely as her manager stood in front of her.
Ngumiti si Jairus. “Get ready, Blythe. Ikaw ang isasama ko mamaya sa client meeting.”
“I’m busy—”
“Blythe, this is about work,” seryosong sabi ng boss niya.
Bago pa man makapagtanong si Blythe, umalis na ang boss niya at pumasok na ito sa sarili nitong opisina.
Aira, who heard their boss, pushed her swivel chair towards Blythe. “What client meeting?”
Nagkibit ng balikat si Blythe. “Hindi ko alam. Tignan natin mamaya.”
“Looks like he hasn’t given up on you yet.”
Blythe scoffed. “I don’t care. Basta hindi ako interesado sa kaniya. And I don’t want to get close to any male species for now.”
