Without another word he swept me into his arms.
"Ares!" I gasped my arms automatically wrapping around his neck.
"I've been patient long enough," he murmured against my hair as he carried me out of the kitchen. "Too patient."
He took the stairs two at a time never breaking stride heading to my bedroom, he swung open the door walking to the king sized bed, he laid me gently on the bed, following me down without breaking eye contact.
"After years,” he whispered his fingers tracing my cheek. "Years of thinking about this, about you."
