BEYOND THE GATES OF THE SECRET CHAMBER

" Golly!! what was that sound?" wondered Grendale. He once again jumped around and right on cue a faint echo was heard. Curious to know what the sound was Grendale looked about him and saw a small ledge in front of the gate. Quickly climbing the ledge Grendale looked back at the floor.
At first he couldn't see anything out of ordinary. But when observed closely that he noticed that a particular spot in the middle of the floor was different that it's surroundings. This particular spot looked like made of thick wood whereas the rest was made of stones.
"This is perhaps a clue to opening this gate. Maybe there's a switch underneath this wooden floor." Wondering thus Grendale jumped down from the ledge and walked towards it. Standing on the fake floor Grendale tapped his foot to see if there was any cracks or any way to open up this floor.
After groping about the floor Grendale searched for a long time, but alas no openings were found. He then tried to break the floor with his sword but even that didn't have any effect on the floor. While wiping his forehead accidentally one of the empty ring space scratched him. Involuntarily he jerked his hand away and looked at it.
Gosh.. The bomb ring was glowing as if indicating to something. At first he couldn't understand anything but soon realization hit him. He looked at the floor, then at the ring and knew what he had to do. Grendale stepped an little far from the wooden floor and conjured up a bomb. He quickly flung the bomb on the floor and immediately ran to the ledge, climbed it and hid in the far corner.
Within a matter of seconds the bomb exploded with a loud BOOM!!! and splitters of burnt and broken wood flew everywhere. Despite the mess the bomb had clearly done it's job. Nearing the (now broken and burnt) floor Grendale peeped inside. Sure enough there it was a nice big round switch.
Maybe the switch was hidden so that no one could enter the secret chamber without actually knowing exactly where to search for it. Smiling at maker's brains Grendale jumped in and pressed the switch. A rumble of Gears were heard as the gates slowly slid up reveling the way in.
The secret chamber was bigger that he imagined. With lengthy and sturdy walls the chamber was built very well for long-time-stuff keeping. Moving along the length of the corridor Grendale came across another pair of gates with a considerable amount of space between them beyond which he could see an elevated platform floating in the air. A faint glow was emitting from the middle.
Grendale slowly approached the first gate. Peeking inside first he slowly entered inside. He had barely taken more than 5 steps when suddenly the gates fell with a loud slam and clicked shut. Grendale sensed danger and quickly sprinted back to the gate and rattled it to open it, but the gate remained firmly shut.
As if things couldn't get any creepier a nice long evil laughter came from behind him.
Gulp! What now? what sort of a new danger has come to welcome Grendale now?
