Jared POV

"Yes, sir," one of the guards said, "the other guards are attempting to call the cops."

"Sir, we have already contacted the officers, and they said they will try to locate Mr Nelson," one of the guards replied. "Don't worry sir, we will locate the master, and he will be fine."

"I hope so, Ryan; I'm worried about him; I can't trust that man; he can hurt Christof, and I'm terrified of that," I said.

"Sir, who is the man Mr Nelson departed with?" He inquired for me.

"His name is Carlos, and Christof was with him when he left," I said softly.

"Is he the same guy who came to ask Mr. Nelson for help yesterday, is he the same guy with whom Mr. Nelson left?" he inquired.

"Yes, he's the same man; he's dangerous; we can't trust him; we need to find him as quickly as possible before Carlos tries to harm him," I said.

"Sir, but that man appeared innocent and harmless; I don't think he'd have the guts to damage Mr. Nelson, and Mr. Nelson is powerful enough to knock that Carlos guy down with one hit; don't worry sir, he won't be able to hurt Mr. Nelson," he replied.

"But we can't take any chances," I replied. "You should never judge a book by its cover; he may appear harmless, but what if he's far more dangerous than we anticipated?"

"All right, sir," he said, "we'll attempt to find him as quickly as possible."

I dialled Anna's number because whenever I'm stressed, I contact her because she makes me feel better.

I said, "Hey, Anna."

"Is everything all right, Jared?

Your tone is hushed ", she answered.

"Christof is disappeared from the mansion, as expected Anna, and he is nowhere to be located," I said.

"I'm not sure how this is feasible, Jared.

Christof has vanished from the mansion; with so many guards on duty, how could they have missed his disappearance? ", she inquired.

"No they didn't anna, they were not allowing me to enter his room, but I forced them to allow me near his room, I knocked at his door but I got no answer from him, he used to Always answer me, no matter how mad he was with me, but this felt usual, because he never behaved like this so I broke the door lock and I entered his room, to my surprise he was nowhere to be found, I checked the washroom and bathroom, he was not in there, and then I noticed that the window was open and he didn't wear his suit, because I used to help Christof with his wardrobe so I had an idea of how many suits and normal wears he had, he wore something that he never wore", I replied.

"Don't worry Jared darling, Christof will be alright, he is strong enough to protect himself, he will be ok, don't worry about him okay, you just take care of yourself sweetheart, it's not good for your health," she answered.

"How can I not be worried Anna, Christof is out there without any protection, and there are so many enemies around who are waiting for an opportunity to attack him, and now they have one, do you think they are going to miss this opportunity, do you think they are going to hurt him or ki him brutally, because most of his enemies despise him so much that they will go to any length to harm him, so I am worried," she said.

"Jared sweetheart, Christof knows what he is doing, that is why he left the mansion, do you think he is stupid that he would leave the mansion just like that, he must have thought something, he must have taken a weapon with him to protect himself from his enemies, and from those who are trying to harm him, Christof is very smart jared, you know that very well, so darling don't be tens, don't be tens,.

"Anna, what if I tell you that he is along with an unknown man, whom we cannot trust", I replied.

"What do you mean Jared, that he is with an unknown man, I didn't get you Jared sweetheart", she asked me.

"He is along with Carlos the guy who asked him for money, you remember that guy whom I was talking about yesterday?", I asked her.

"Oh yes I remember about that guy, are you serious?Christof is with him, he can be dangerous because we don't know anything about him, he can hurt him, how can Christof do this, how can he trust an unknown man", Anna was worried about Christof, because there were people whom he trusted the most stabbed him behind his back.

"That is what I am trying to make you understand Anna, he is with that guy, and his life is in danger, Carlos can be one of Nolan's men, or he can work for one of chrisofs enemy that is why am worried about him, we need to get to him before he trying to hurt christof", I replied.

"Oh god jared hope so he is okay, I can't understand how can he trust a man whom he just met yesterday, that guy Carlos should not hurt him", she replied.

"I know Anna, I hope that Christof is fine because if that guy Carlos hurts Christof I am not going to let him live I am surely going to kill him", I replied.

Christof POV

"Yes, sir," he said, "we should head towards the settlement, and once we get there, we'll determine what to do later."

"You're correct, Carlos," I said, "but keep in mind one thing: if you lie about my wife, it'll be very awful for you."

"I am not lying, sir," he replied. "If I am wrong, you can kill me; I will not stop you."

Carlos was directing me in the direction of the village as I drove.

We arrived in the village but were unable to continue driving, so I stopped the car and we proceeded to the village.

Carlos wore the transmitter and he began to head towards the village. I waited there for him to return.

It took a lot of time for Carlos to return back, I was getting worried Soni tried to contact him with the help of the transmitter.

"Carlos what is happening in there, why is it taking so long for you to return back", I said.

But I got no response. I was getting tense now because I didn't know what was happening in there, there were a lot of questions going on in my head.

"Carlos is everything okay in there, why are you not responding, is Addison okay?", I asked him.

But I still did get any reply, I was now very worried about them.

"Carlos answer me god dammit, why the hell are you not answering, I told you to reply, you are forcing me to come in there", I replied.

"Okay sir you can come in here", he replied with a soft voice.

I carried my gun Along with me and I headed towards the village.

I saw Carlos standing there, I headed towards him.

"What is wrong Carlos why weren't you answering me", I asked him.

Carlos lowered his head and he didn't answer any of my questions.

I looked towards the other side and I saw that there was no one here, it was just an empty land, no one staying there.

"Are you sure we are at the right place because this seems to be a wrong location, no one is staying here Carlos there are just small houses here", I replied.

"I don't know what is happening here sir, the village has suddenly disappeared, there is no sign of any villagers here", he replied.

He kept telling me things, but how could I trust him, if he lied to me, he will be dead soon.
