Christof POV

Suddenly I felt someone shake my shoulders slightly trying to wake me up. I rubbed my eyes and I turned behind.

I saw that Carlos was standing behind me holding my baby in one arm.

"Please have something sir, you have been hungry for so long. This is not good for your health. Please eat something sir!!".

"I am not hungry Carlos, you can have something if you are hungry, I want to stay besides Addison. I don't wanna leave her alone herr, I accompany her here", I looked back at Addison.

"Please sir, the doctors are there to treat your wife, and there are few guards who are standing outside. They will protect your wife, please have something".

I looked back at Carlos, "where is jared Carlos?".

"He was standing outside. I saw him through the window and he didn't enter the hospital. I don't know what he is doing outside".

"Can you stay here besides Addison, I want to talk to Jared, it's important. Don't leave this room till I am back", I stood from my seat.

"Okay sir", Carlos took a seat beside Addison, and I left the hospital to find Jared.

I saw Jared standing out near the car, he was smoking. Jared usually doesn't smoke. He only smokes when he is stressed and angry, and I know that he is angry because of me. I had to speak to him. I had to make him understand why I made this decision. He must be thinking why did I take Carlos along with me instead of him.

Jared was facing his back towards me.

I tapped on his shoulders, "don't smoke too much, it will make you sick. What are you spoiling your health".

Jared turned towards me, and he stared at me for a minute.

"Why are you bothered about me, I think you should bother about your new friend Carlos. He is very important to you, I mean nothing to you".

"Jared, it's not like what you're thinking. Please Jared, let me explain why I didn't take you along with me. Instead of you I took Carlos along with me", I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"I can see Christof, I have two eyes, I can see how you are treating me. You have ignored me, you didn't tell me where you are going, I was so tensed about you Christof. Why are you acting like this", he turned his back towards me.

I caught one of his shoulders and I turned him towards me,"if you are done talking can I say something now?", I waited for his reply.

He looked at me and then he lowered his head, "you can continue!!".

"Thank you so much Jared, for allowing me to speak!!".

He raised his head,"Christoph please don't say that, you are my master".

"More than a master, I am your brother Jared, you are important to me. I cannot afford to lose you jared. I cannot lose a good friend like you jared!!", I gave him a tight hug.

He hugged me back.

"I want to know everything about you Christof, I don't like Carlos, so I didn't ask him anything. I want to know from you and not from him".

"Okay I will tell you everything", I placed my hand in my pocket and I began to move ahead.

"Where are you going Christof?"Jared was behind me, and I walked ahead.

I looked behind me,"follow me, we will talk while walking!!".

I began to walk, Jared followed me and he began to walk besides me,"now tell me everything Christof".

"Carlos, he came to meet me , because he wanted money. His mom was not well and he needed the money, the Bank didn't give him a loan so he asked my help. I helped him out with the money. Before leaving his eyes fell on Addison's portrait, so he asked me about her. I told him that she is my wife, he then told me that he saved her and he left her near the tribes to treat her".

"Why did he leave her near the tribal, he should have taken her to the city hospital, she would be saved", Jared stopped walking and he asked me this question.

I looked at Jared,"Addison would be dead, he would take her to the hospital, she would not be able to make it, that is why he left her there so that the tribals could treat her", I looked ahead and I started walking.

"Why didn't you tell me Christof?, I would have come along with you. Why did you take Carlos along with you, I would have helped you out. Carlos is a dumb man, he doesn't know anything, I can't understand why yiu took him along with you. He is not a trustworthy person".

I stopped and I looked at Jared.I spent a lot of time with Carlos, Jared. He is a trustworthy person. He is innocent and he is loyal, he helped me a lot. It would not be possible for me to find Addison if Carlos didn't help me. So I am very thankful to him".

"You cannot trust a person in just a day, it takes time to trust someone. I just wanna suggest that you stay away from him. You have found Addison and now we don't need him anymore", Jared said.

"No Jared, I can't do this. How can I just leave him? He helped me so much, I am not gonna do this. We are searching for a manager in our company, I am thinking of hiring Carlos, he is educated and I know he is smart. He will be able to do this job. He just needs a little training and then hevis done".

"Are you serious Christof, how can you do this? The manager post is one of the most important position in our company, we just can't give to anyone, I agree that Carlos helped you to find Addison but we just can't give him an important post just because he helped you", Jared stopped and he placed his hands on each side of my shoulder trying to make me understand.
